Closing ceremony of Beijing Olympics

Very overwhelmed Chinese presentation in closing ceremony of 29th Olympics in Beijing on 24th of this month was again a spectacular event. Well the country seems very contented and satisfied with the service they offered in a period of 16 days. Well it might be a fulfilling moment because of the success despite many adverse remarks made prior to the games start from many places against the country. But they proved how good they can manage to the world. It may be because of their overall enthusiasm that gave such a grant success.

India's gold medal in Beijing Olympics

Abhinav Bindra, a 25 years old Indian shooter in air rifle from Chandigarh had given India a proud moment by winning a first ever individual gold medal in 10m men’s shooting event in the Beijing Olympics on 12th of August. Despite every sad thing it was a great moment for every Indian living in any corner of the country. The shooter did his job and said it was just his day; he seems very calm, happy and satisfied with his performance. India congratulates….smiling and sweet shooter Bindra... The central and many state governments announces various prizes as encouraging and congratulating him for his contribution to the Nation’s pride. But also the government should encourage all other young sport persons to work hard by providing them better sports infrastructure to help them come forward for a better sports future.

Made Monika cry for dreaming for Olympics

Winning a gold medal in Olympics is the biggest desire a player can dream of in his or her life as a sports person. But in the running Beijing Olympics the Indian Olympics Association withdraw an international weightlifter Miss Monika Devi from flying to Beijing. Being one among the players and only weightlifter selected for the 29th Beijing Olympics she might be happy and preparing for the trip. In the last hour, on 6th of august she was dropped out from the list saying she was found +ve in doping test. She was allegedly charged of using anabolic steroids.
She was shocked and the people of her native state, Manipur also got confused. How…!!!!! As the new set fire in the state the people started agitation and strikes while the political leaders were making their move. The charge was then cleared on 9th of august and arranged to send her to Beijing lately. But again said it was too late for her to be in Beijing for the competition, so she missed it out.
But why such a nature….? Why a doping test report comes at such late dates!! Again why clear the charge? And still missing it… Are not they killing someone’s dream, some generation’s hope… if the charge is a fault then is it not discrimination? ……????

Not just the people of china might be excited with joy for hosting the most prestigious international Olympic festival, I should say because it feels like everyone is celebrating it. But also the people all over the world are that much excited to see their players make their countries proud by being a part of the event. And tears could be either for winning or losing. Rather the theme of the sport festival is not just win or loss. Winning is a dream come true but losing is not all the way to be disheartened. What makes everyone smile in all condition is how the sportsmen are able to perform with their body and soul in the games making the mark they can, trying their best. That’s the joy they give us for watching, I hope.
